Understand where cost, lifespan, and schedule figures come from and how often they are reviewed.
Ranges, not promises
Every cost, lifespan and time figure on Pool Care Costs is a range. Pool size, equipment brand, access to your backyard and the contractor you hire all move the number, so we show low and high instead of one tidy price.
Where the figures apply
Prices are Los Angeles-area estimates. Costs elsewhere can run higher or lower, especially labor, water and power. Treat them as a planning guide, not a quote.
How we build the numbers
Yearly and ten-year totals on the cost pages add up the chemicals, power and reserve figures in each row, plus install cost. Nothing is calculated without a stated input, and we say which inputs we used.
Keeping it fresh
We review the figures at least once a year, since equipment prices and utility rates change. If something looks out of date, tell us and we will take a look.
Safety and licensed work
Anything involving gas, high-voltage electrical work, or strong acids deserves a licensed professional. We flag those jobs clearly wherever they come up.
